January 24th, 2022 12:00am
If you've been in a car collision with a good size deer or have had your garden picked clean of the plants you carefully planted by a deer, you might agree with the city officials from East Lansing that culling the herd in the area is necessary. If you were one of 8 wildlife rehabilitators in the state, nursing fawns back to health at great effort and expense only to have them released in the wild a few hundred feet from where the culling is scheduled to take place, you might not agree with the East Lansing officials. Listen Saturday at 9AM as Rick Preuss from Preuss Pets and Lee Cohen discuss the details of this disagreement with Cheryl Connell-Marsh, the owner of Nottingham Nature Nook in East Lansing.
